I really REALLY want one of these with each DLC pack next time. The final pack that came out for the game (featuring Marvel’s first family, the Fantastic Four) did feature a new campaign that allowed you to play as the latest additions to the roster. The main story of Ultimate Alliance 3 is really good and did a great job at acknowledging characters that may not have been considered as mainstream had it not been for the MCU (looking at you Black Order).īy that same token, the game’s $20 expansion pass which contained three character drops also promised additional story content…and it delivered…kind of. This is one of the area’s where I thought that the developers both hit it out of the park and failed all at the same time. Besides, if NetMarble can get screen accurate costumes in Future Fight, I’m sure Nintendo can work something out with Marvel. If they do decide to go that route in the next game, however, I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for Captain America’s suit from The Winter Soldier as well as Thor’s outfit from Ragnarok. By that same token, I have no idea if that was an idea that was on the tabled but sidelined due to rights issues. By extension, this has honored the MCU in part, though I still wish they would do so a bit more directly. The Black Order still did a great job at honor various parts of the history of a lot of these characters in the decades that they’ve been being published.

Sony putting the Sam Raimi suit in their PS4 game really lit this flame under me.
We were lucky enough that Sony dropped some film skins into 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man so it doesn’t seem like an entirely ridiculous request for the major Nintendo Marvel game. We are in a world now where the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a large part of people’s lives and seeing a couple of skins added to the game that reflected this would have been great. There are some really great skins the game, but I feel like there could always be more. Still, it’s one that I would love to see. Cinematic Costumesīefore I dive too deeply into this one, I’d like to acknowledge that some of the costumes in Ultimate Alliance 3 are, in fact, the comic book costumes that inspired those in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Today, I want to dive into five things that I would love to see in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 4! 5. I’m talking about Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order and the sequel that I hope it’ll get. In the meantime, I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about another Marvel game I really enjoy - or rather, the game’s potential sequel. I played the beta a few weeks ago and I had a lot of fun with it - even if the wait for the release since then has been excruciating.
